We are really excited to announce one of our speakers, Kate Denman of @floretandvine @dmvweddingcollective ! It is always exciting to partner with local organizations like @dmvweddingcollective who share our vision of no-ego networking, safe spaces for real talk conversations and a mission of kindness and support for wedding pros.

Kate Denman is a business owner and floral fairy godmother whose passion has always been rooted in nature. Born and raised in Massachusetts, she began her floral design training at just 16, working under the watchful eye of a seasoned designer in her hometown. Over the next decade, she studied politics, business, and marketing in college while continuing to work and train as a floral designer on the side.

What began as a solo venture has since grown into a full-time team of four and an extended team of 25, serving approximately 75 couples each year.

When asked why she believes events like #stateoftheweddingindustry #masterminddinner are important for pros to attend, Kate said: “Throughout my career, I’ve seen how powerful community can be in helping both businesses and our industry thrive. From supporting one another through challenges to sharing and celebrating wins, being part of a community has been such an important part of my journey as an entrepreneur.”

Tanya Pushkine was born and raised in Brussels, Belgium to an American-born musical conductor and German/Belgian painter. Upon moving to the USA, she was soon accepted to The Juilliard School’s Drama Division.

Her own second wedding prompted her to become a professional wedding “vow whisperer.” She made the bold decision to leave the corporate world and make her way essentially creating a new category in the wedding business.

Tanya’s business, The Vow Whisperer, is a service whereby Tanya coins herself as a producer and creator of epic wedding ceremony experiences. She helps couples write their vows, but in their own words. Additionally, Tanya coaches on public speaking—the delivery of the vows, which includes enunciation, voice projection, making eye contact while reading off a vow book, poise, confidence, body language, and all the tips and tricks to make it a perfect presentation of the most intimate part of a ceremony. Tanya officiates globally and offers ceremony planning, as well as coaching family members and friends who want to officiate. This segment of her business has taken precedence, as most couples are choosing to have a friend perform their ceremonies. She also works with wedding parties on speeches and toasts.

Tanya is based in New York City with her husband, has two children, and works globally in several languages. She recently concluded her four year term on the board of the New York Chapter of WIPA.

Just over a month ago we had the absolute pleasure of staying at @palazzo_castri1874 #palazzocastri in #florence for our @passport_weddings Creative Editorial Workshop .

From the historical but modern accommodations, DELICIOUS breakfast, amazing spa, beautiful gardens, and excellent staff, nothing was lacking.

I have to be honest… @wimforevent was not what I expected.

It was so much more. 🎉

Learning from and with the most wonderful Italian event industry professionals and finding ways to connect and collaborate was invigorating.
